Planning Minister Prof. Iqbal unveiled the government\u2019s ambitious goal of expanding exports from $30 billion to $100 billion over the next decade, a cornerstone of its long-term economic strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe 21st century is an era of economic and financial innovation,\u201d said Prof. Iqbal. \u201cPakistan must embark on an \u2018Economic Long March\u2019 to position itself as a competitive and dynamic player in the global market.\u201d He announced that the Prime Minister would soon launch a comprehensive economic roadmap aimed at driving this transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Minister emphasized the centrality of youth development to the country\u2019s growth trajectory, highlighting the need for investments in quality education and skill-building. \u201cWealth creation is only sustainable when it is paired with equitable resource distribution,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prof. Iqbal also reflected on Government&#8217;s achievements during its previous tenure, including the development of Gwadar into a vibrant city, securing a transmission line from Iran for Balochistan, and deepening Gwadar Port to accommodate larger vessels. However, he lamented the setbacks caused by interruptions in these initiatives over recent years. \u201cIf our momentum had been sustained, Balochistan would be in a much stronger position today,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Infrastructure development, particularly the construction of highways, remains a priority for unlocking Balochistan\u2019s economic potential.
