Major General Wang Zhong, Defence Attach\u00e9, Chinese Embassy officials &amp; Officers from tri-services of Pakistan attended the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS) while welcoming the Chinese guests, congratulated the PLA and praised PLA\u2019s contribution to Chinese defence, security and nation development.<br>He further added that \u201cPakistan-China relations are exceptional and have always weathered the vicissitudes of strategic environment with mutual trust and unwavering belief in each other&#8217;s support\u201d.<br>\u201cRelations between Pakistan Army and Peoples Liberation Army are strong and both militaries continue to engage in bilateral military cooperation, demonstrating the iron clad brotherhood between the two countries\u201d, COAS concluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking on the occasion, the Chinese Ambassador thanked COAS for hosting the event for the 97th anniversary of the founding of the PLA.<br>\u201cPakistani military has always been at the forefront of countering terrorism and has made great sacrifices for the peace and stability of Pakistan and the region\u201d, Chinese ambassador remarked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"458\" src=\"https:\/\/theasiantelegraph.global\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMG-20240718-WA0087-1024x458.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15828\" srcset=\"https:\/\/theasiantelegraph.global\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMG-20240718-WA0087-1024x458.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/theasiantelegraph.global\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMG-20240718-WA0087-300x134.jpg 300w, https:\/\/theasiantelegraph.global\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMG-20240718-WA0087-768x343.jpg 768w, https:\/\/theasiantelegraph.global\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMG-20240718-WA0087.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe stand ready to work with our brethren to combat terrorism and firmly believe that no force can destroy the iron-clad friendship between China and Pakistan and the brotherhood between the two militaries\u201d, Chinese ambassador said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rawalpindi :&nbsp; 97th Anniversary of the founding of People\u2019s Liberation Army (PLA) of China was hosted at GHQ.
