Islamabad:- Romina Khurshid Alam, Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, emphasized the power of art in raising awareness about climate risks and disasters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addressing the inaugural of OffGrid Studios’ art exhibition, PM’s aide stated that the artworks displayed at the exhibition reflected the passion and dedication of environmental advocates who use their creativity to highlight the urgent need for collective action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She noted that art has the ability to communicate complex issues in a way that resonates deeply with people, fostering a deeper understanding of climate risks and disasters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Coordinator reminded the audience that at Pakistan’s pavilion at COP28 in Dubai, the Ministry showcased art to highlight climate issues, demonstrating that art can bridge gaps and unite people in a commitment to sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Romina Khurshid expressed hope that through creativity and collaboration, we can catalyze the change needed for a sustainable future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She stated that the Ministry of Climate Change supports such initiatives and is committed to working alongside all those who contribute to protecting the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Coordinator highlighted the devastating impact of the 2022 super floods in Pakistan, which caused immense economic losses and significant non-economic damages, including the loss of cultural heritage and places of historical importance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She emphasized the need to act swiftly and decisively to mitigate these impacts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She also emphasized the government’s priority of engaging youth in climate action, stating that the national adaptation plan 2023 emphasizes inclusivity, especially for gender and youth<\/p>\n\n\n\n
